Nature loves

First of all: arboa is happy to be working in an area with colleagues who support nature and do not exploit it.
Exposed to wind, weather and sunshine, boa® crown cabling system supports the nature. It shows its gratitude by integrating boa®. Lichens and mosses colonize the anti-abrasion-hose and rope, so that after a few years the static/dynamic support looks as if nature itself had invented it.

Plastic of the future

Of course this is not the case. The boa® 2 and 4 ton hollow braided rope are made of polypropylene, as well the expansion insert and the anti-abrasion-hose. As a thermoplastic, PP is the plastic of the future because it consists only of carbon and hydrogen. And nothing more. It contains no toxins, no plasticizers, is food-safe and is used medically, for example, for abdominal wall stabilization as an ingrowing mesh. When it is burned, only water and CO2 are produced, nothing else. But it is a plastic that can pollute the environment because it lasts a long time. But PP is the lightest plastic and even floats, so it can be skimmed off the surface of the water.

recyclable

Our materials are unmixed, so in principle they are easy to recycle. But nature has taken over boa® with sunlight and moss, see above, and the load as a load-bearing rope has changed the inner structure. So you can't just melt it down and get 1A polypropylene again. But it can be reused as 1B PP. And this is where arboa wants to open the door to taking back used ropes so that we can collect the right amount for meaningful recycling. The cycle of our crown protectors is 12 years. And 84 km are added every year. But incineration, see above, is also completely problem-free.
